Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for the 2009 National Convention?

Registration for the 2009 Convention is accepted in three ways 1) through registering on-line 2) by printing and mailing the 2009 Convention registration form along with your registration fee to the National Headquarters before June 15th 3) on-site at the 2009 National Convention headquarters in Phoenix, AZ.

If we are driving to the convention site everyday, will the parking fee still be waived?

Yes the folks attending the conference can park for free. The parking lot is located in the parking structure behind Frank Lloyd Wright.

Must you reserve a table for Interactive Psi?

No. Interactive Psi is different from the general display tables. Your Interactive Psi display will happen during the regular schedule of the convention.

However, if you want to have a table to sell things, go ahead and reserve one – HQ has the form on the website.

How does Interactive Psi work?

We are running two sessions of Interactive Psi on Wednesday morning. The early session will include Chapter Leadership Award chapter tables, National Council, Board, and Districts. (We're waking up on the early shift with you.) In its way, these are our reports for the biennium, and your chance to demonstrate what has distinguished your chapter over the biennium.

The second session of Interactive Psi will include those chapters who were selected to present displays on their band histories. Both of these sessions will happen Wednesday morning of National Convention.

Why Interactive Psi?

Your Brothers across the nation wanted to know what distinguishes a Chapter Leadership Award recipient from any other chapter. They had a good point. This is your chance to share ideas and
challenges, and talk with Brothers about how you have built this success.

WAIT...Talk???

Yes – your Interactive Psi display should be attractive, but it isn't going to say all you have to say. We ask chapters to staff their tables. That is actually one of the more fun parts of the convention – you have a great conversation starter and a lot of Brothers excited to learn about you.

What if my chapter is selected to be a part of the historical display?

You will get to do displays in both sessions. Obviously, we want each to be focused on its purpose, but don't hesitate to bring historical things into your Chapter Leadership display. Excellent chapters have a good grounding in the history of their bands!

Will there be electricity for the Interactive Psi?

Don't count on it. We will be in a room full of tables, so it is difficult to imagine power supply for everyone. Work to make your display independent of the need for a cord.
