1.  Dixie Mosier-Greene Diagnosed with Cancer

by Lt Col Alan Bonner, National Executive Director

We were all stunned and saddened when we learned just before Christmas that National Administrator, Dixie Mosier-Greene, had been found to have breast cancer.  With amazing calm, Dixie advised me that her doctors had found a malignant lump, but were optimistic that due to the early discovery the cancer had not spread to her lymph nodes.  The chances for full recovery significantly go up with early discovery, and we are all encouraged at that good news.

On her behalf I wanted to let the Fraternity & Sorority know of her challenges ahead, as she comes in contact with so many students throughout the year.  Dixie will undergo chemotherapy this month through March, with radiation treatments following for six more weeks.  There is no way to accurately predict how any one person will respond to these treatments.  However, the potential for a high level of fatigue is increased as she goes through this process.  It is fair to say we very well may encounter some impact on our ability to keep up with all aspects of Dixie's many responsibilities of the Headquarters.

Please keep Dixie and her family in your hearts and prayers.  I know she will greatly appreciate your thoughts.

The National Headquarters braced for the annual visit from our chapters from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas!  For several years the Gamma Phi Chapter of KKPsi and the Beta Zeta Chapter of TBS have made an annual pilgrimage to Stillwater to assist the staff in a variety of projects.  This year Kendra, Anna, Chris & Stephen reviewed every single chapter Fall Activity Report to update chapter records of officers, sponsors, phone numbers, & addresses!  Dusty Brown, Alumni Member of Gamma Phi and current member of the Delta Sigma Chapter of KKPsi at the University of Texas, Arlington, and KKPsi SWD President, accompanied the group and worked with KKPsi National Chapter Field Representative, Adam Cantley, putting together chapter visit packets for his next road trip.

On behalf of the Fraternity & Sorority and the Headquarters Staff, we thank these Brothers & Sisters for their spirit of service!

Please ensure widest possible delivery to all chapters, colonies & members in your respective districts!

The idea of this electronic newsletter is to be able to quickly and efficiently send out information to every individual member.  Therefore, it is up to the District Leaders to designate someone to be responsible for forwarding on to the chapters or Chapter Presidents in their district.  Once the Chapter Presidents have the newsletter, please ensure every member of your chapter receives it!  Unfortunately, I regularly talk to chapters members who have do not received NewsNotes On-Line.  Please help us to communicate to the individual member!
