Welcome to our new Senior Manager of External Affairs for Tau Beta Sigma

The National Council and Board of Trustees of Tau Beta Sigma are proud to announce the selection of our new Senior Manager of External Affairs, Mrs. Dollie McDonald O’Neill.

No stranger to Tau Beta Sigma, Dollie McDonald O’Neill is a proud Life member of Tau Beta Sigma Sorority and an Honorary Member of Kappa Kappa Psi. She is a graduate of the University of Arkansas where she was initiated into the Psi Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma. While at the U of A, Dollie was member of the Razorback Marching Band & Color Guard, Concert Band, Basketball Pep Band and completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication/Public Relations. After graduating, Dollie served the sorority on the national level as National Chapter Field Representative from 2000-2002 and in all 4 elected National Council Offices from 2003-2011. She was then Elected to the Board of Trustees, serving as Capital Development Co-Chair, Vice-Chair and Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2011-2017. Dollie collaborated on several projects during her National Council service, including initiatives focused on growth, strategic planning, marketing, finances, communication, and improving joint relations. One of her favorite and proudest projects to date was Co-Chairing and planning all the Fundraising efforts for the Wava Memorial Gardens and launching the 13 Days of Wava!

Out in the field, Dollie’s career experiences span over 20 years in fundraising, management, recruiting, hiring and project development in non-profit organizations and corporate companies. Career Highlights include Traveling to 135 Chapters while serving as the Sorority’s 4th National Chapter Field Representative, Retail Management for Victoria Secret Stores, Recruiter for City Government, Recruiter for Department of Energy, Executive Director for the Non-Profit Philmont Staff Association and working 10 summers while living at Philmont Scout Ranch. The most important job of all is being a mom to two teenagers and being involved within her community. Other notable volunteer roles have been serving as Chair to local Head Start Policy Council and being elected to the School Board when residing in Cimarron, New Mexico. Most recently, Dollie is a new member of Board of Directors for KCM Cares, a non-profit in Maryland dedicated to the delivery of equitable, compassionate healthcare in the community including care for vulnerable populations.

Dollie’s career passions are fundraising and growth strategies to achieve goals for a greater impact of the organization’s mission and vision. Dollie’s Sorority fundraising highlights have been raising money for the Wava Memorial Gardens, Stanley G. Finck NIB Fund, and Tau Beta Sigma Giving Tuesday. Dollie’s Executive Director fundraising highlights include raising over $400K for the Philmont Wildfire Conservation fund, Philmont Staff Association Giving Tuesday and reaching the $1.5 million goal for the Building HOmE Capital Campaign for the Philmont Staff Association.

Dollie is a Life Member of the Psi Chapter, a charter member of the TBSAA and has numerous Honorary memberships in both Tau Beta Sigma and Kappa Kappa Psi, including being an honorary of her brother chapter, Lambda Chapter. Dollie now resides in Minnesota with her family and in her free time you can find her swimming or canoeing in a lake, volunteering for her kid’s sports concessions and cheering them on. Dollie also loves to travel with her family, and blog about her travel experiences.

The Senior Manager of External Affairs position is a newly created position for Tau Beta Sigma.  This position is designed to assist our elected national leadership in achieving strategic, long-term and annual goals. This position will focus on the long-term direction of Tau Beta Sigma’s fund development and provide aid in representing our organization at conventions, conferences and events.
